The hybrid Porsche 918 Spyder sells for over $1 million, but that’s less than half the price of a Bugatti Veyron. While it can’t match the top speed of the current world champ, it’s likely to outhandle it on a track. In race or hot lap mode, the 918 can keep up with the best cars on the track, offering incredible cornering and grip, along with tremendous straight-line performance – hitting 62mph in 2.6 seconds. Plus, the 918 can go up to 20 miles without drinking a drop of fuel if you so choose.

Steve Sutcliffe from UK car channel Autocar managed to get behind the wheel of this incredible high-tech supercar and put it through its paces on the track, leaving us with just one question: When can we have our turn, Porsche?

Also, did you notice the video is 9:18 long? Nice touch guys.
