Pikes Peak champion Jeff Zwart won the world famous hill climb seven times, driving ten different Porsches over a period of 14 years. In this short video from Porsche, Zwart talks about his history with the 911 line, from first learning to drive in his father’s second-hand 911 to the rally racing he loves.

In the 1980s, Porsche build an all-wheel drive Porsche 953 to compete in the Paris-Dakar rally and the course’s “endless sand dunes” and Zwart takes it out for a hard-driving run. It’s incredible to think the tiny 911 could compete in a race like Dakar, but it shows what a well-built performance vehicle can do.
