Dubai’s Latest Police Car is a McLaren MP4-12C

We’re guessing that if you live in a country where the wealthiest citizens tool around in Ferraris, Lambos, and Bugattis, you’d better give the police department something more than a Ford Interceptor to take down speeding suspects.

So while it might seem strange on the surface, it’s unsurprising that Dubai’s police department has a special weapon up its sleeve – a McLaren MP4-12C. Oddly enough, it’s not their only outlandishly expensive ride either. The force already has an arsenal of performance vehicles including Bentleys, BMWs, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, and even a Veyron.

Of course, in a day and age where police departments here in North America can barely afford to patrol the streets, the whole thing seems a bit excessive to us.
