Learn How to Drift in a Volkswagen Golf R

You may not be the next Ken Block, but if you want to spend your winter days practicing your drifting on the ice, check out this short video featuring Volkswagen Experience Chief Instructor Martin Escher. He walks through the basics of drifting from hand position to where to keep your eyes to shifting the car’s weight from back to front.

First step: get yourself a frozen lake, or maybe an empty parking lot, and don’t just slide around the city streets (we’re looking at you, Austin, Texas). Looks like great fun to us, but we’d rather do it on the ice in someone else’s car, too.
