MINI Previews Clubman Concept Prior to Geneva

MINI will be unveiling its new Clubman concept vehicle at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and we really like this preview of where MINI may be going in the future with the four-door Clubman.

The Clubman Concept is a bit larger than the current production version, coming in about 10 inches longer and 7 inches wider, but it wears its larger size well. Adrian van Hooydonk, head of BMW Group Design, explained that the Concept demonstrates how MINI could take the Clubman concept further with more interior space, a greater sense of high-end quality and yet still remain clever, bold and distinctive.

The Clubman Concept has a number of interesting touches one can see in the design. The front bumper is finished in Black Chrome, the front grille has a three-dimensional structure of the chrome ribs inside to enhance the front, the clearly defined black wheel arches, integrated roof spoiler, and the Clubman’s characteristic split doors are bracketed by newly designed taillights. On the inside, the added space provides room for five adults on black nappa leather and sky blue nubuck seats.
