While you can watch a hillclimb race from the sidelines, there’s nothing quite like the perspective you get from inside a race car as it comes perilously close to embankments and speeds past the crowds. In this video clip, we get to ride alongside driver Jovan Acimic in his BMW-powered Osella PA20 as it takes to the hills of Buzet, Croatia, during the 2013 FIA European Hill Climb Championship. We could listen to the sound it makes all day long.

And if you’re wondering what his car looks like from the exterior, here’s a quick look. Don’t blink, or you might miss it.

Ultimately, Acimic came in fifth place in the race, but his overall time was just 15 seconds off the leader, combined across two races.
