Shmee Takes His McLaren 12C to Nürburgring

Driving enthusiast and YouTuber Tim Burton, aka “Shmee“, paid his first visit to the Nürburgring Nordschleife and went around the track with a company that specializes in instruction and driving on the famous German circuit, RSR Nürburg. Driving his own car, the McLaren 12C “Shmeemobile,” Burton managed a lap time of 9:23.

The RSR Nürburg instructor provided a lot of instruction around the track and made sure Burton didn’t get in trouble on the track, which can be quite dangerous. The instructor also importantly points out that the track is an “old school” track without the safety features of a modern track like a run-off area, gravel, and tire barriers. Instead, the Nürburgring has one or two meters of grass then a hard guardrail. Going with an expert team like RSR Nürburg is certainly the best way to approach one’s first experience on a road track like this one.

Now it’s officially on our bucket list, but first we have to get a McLaren.
