Jaguar: From C-Type to F-Type

Written by Paul Strauss | July 20, 2014

With a few distractions along the way, Jaguar has a long history of creating incredible roadsters and sports cars. In this documentary from XCAR Films, they explore the heritage of the Jaguar sports car line, from the 1950s original XK 123 C-Type race car all the way up to today’s F-Type Coupe R.

From the earliest days of racing at Le Mans to today’s luxury roadsters and coupes, it’s impressive how Jaguar has maintained such an perfect balance of style, power and excitement in its sports cars. Sure, the C-Type was a bit of an acquired taste, but it was still a beast on the track.

Also, we’re extremely envious of XCAR’s host, as he managed to get behind the wheel of a C-Type, D-Type, E-Type and F-Type Coupe. We especially love the 1961 Series 1 E-Type with its lack of model badging. “If you don’t know what you’re looking at, you don’t deserve to know.”
