Land Rover Defender Africa Edition

With 67-year-long production run of the Land Rover Defender coming to an end in 2015 (due to “legislative reasons”), you might just want to snatch up one of these special limited-edition models, built to honor the Defender’s long heritage of exploration.

Just 50 of the rugged Defender Africa Edition will be made, distinguished by its Santorini black finish and a deep red roof. Other details include Melvill and Moon black canvas seat covers with red leather piping, and black sawtooth alloy wheels, wrapped in large Goodyear Wrangler MTR tires. Oh, and as an added bonus, the radio has Bluetooth connectivity. Can I get a “really?”

Land Rover will be offering the Africa Edition in both the Defender 90 and Defender 110 models, with 30 of the vehicles allocated to the larger 110 station wagon model, and 20 to the smaller two-door 90. It’s unclear whether the model will be available outside of Africa.
