Jeep Renegade Proves Its Off-Road Chops

Despite sharing platform components with the Fiat 500L, it really looks like the Italian-built 2015 Jeep Renegade is a proper Jeep. In this recently released footage, we get a look at the Renegade Trailhawk edition taking on rocky roads, loose gravel, tricky downhill climbs (on three wheels), and even crossing a creek.

While it certainly doesn’t have the sort of ground clearance its Wrangler brethren have, I have to say I’m impressed with what I’ve seen so far. Having seen the Renegade up close and personal, I really love the styling and attention to detail, both inside and out, so I’m more hopeful than ever that it will live up to the Jeep name as a proper 4×4 as well.
