A Parade of Pintos

Written by Paul Strauss | December 16, 2014

The Ford Pinto is most associated with its propensity to burst into flames in rear-end collisions. But that issue was largely overblown (no pun intended), and caused many people to write off the Pinto as a classic car. But it turns out there are many Pinto enthusiasts out there, and 47 of the cars recently gathered for the 2014 Pinto Stampede, a parade to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project.

The event took place this past summer as Pinto and Bobcat owners drove between Hell, Michigan and the Ford Product Development Center in Dearborn, Michigan. The parade portion of the drive was captured on video for all to enjoy. And if you’re really into it, you can even watch the parade in 3D, thanks to Cars in Depth.
