103 Cars in an Epic Burnout

Written by Paul Strauss | January 1, 2015

To celebrate the arrival of New Year’s Day 2015, a group of drivers in Canberra, Australia got together to break the world’s record for the largest simultaneous car tire burnout. The awe-inspiring site of smoke and burning rubber could be witnessed (and inhaled) by those in attendance at Summernats 28.

What I find interesting about the video is how some of the cars are burning colored smoke from their tires. I didn’t know they sold tires that did that, but they do.

Also, I always have to be reminded that it’s the middle of Summer in Australia this time of year. Maybe I need to buy a vacation condo there.
