Motor Trend Holds Epic Tuner Car Drag Race

Sports cars are awesome and for many of the people who buy them stock is never enough. It doesn’t matter if you are talking about an already potent 911 or M3 or some run of the mill Ford, many owners want more power and spend a lot of money to get it. The latest massive drag race Motor Trend held was for tuner cars.

The race was held on a runway at a closed airport and the track was half a mile long. It included Porsches with over 1000hp, BMW M3s with over 800hp, a McLaren MP4-12C, a Nissan GT-R and lots more. The winner of the race hit a top speed of over 200mph.

A motorcycle was even thrown in the mix and hit 179 mph on its run. Check out the video to see the race for yourself. It’s amazing to see so many fast cars racing at the same time. Riding a motorcycle at over 170mph is truly impressive.
