Ken Block recently teamed up with Ford to create the ultimate backcountry snow vehicle. Based on a Ford F-150 Raptor with a 6.2-liter Raptor engine, the Hoonigan team went to work. Starting with a Whipple supercharger that takes the horsepower up to about 650 hp. Of course, power alone isn’t enough to conquer fresh powder, so Block and his crew also fitted the Raptor with Mattracks rubber tracks designed to take on snow, which also required a modified off-road suspension. And to light up the night and spot local yetis, it’s got a giant set of bright Rigid lights.

Inside, the Raptor has a big roll cage to provide extra safety and Recaro seats with four-point harnesses. The back seats have been repurposed for storage and to hold a cooler. In the back, the racks allow for easy transport of four snowboards, with two more Recaro seats tucked in the back, which looks like a pretty cold place to ride. Finally, the team added some amps and big speakers to the stock stereo system.

Overall, the truck is pretty incredible and certainly one of the most capable snow-going machines anywhere. You can watch the RaptorTRAX Ford tackle the mountaintop here.
