Australia Tries out Volvo S60 Polestar Police Car

I can say with complete honesty that until the Volvo S60 Polestar turned up, nothing the Swedish automaker created was interesting to me. I happen to think owning a Polestar would be pretty cool. Police in Australia are getting their hands on one of the coolest patrol cars in the world in the form of a Volvo S60 Polestar.

The S60 Polestar patrol car gets a 329hp Performance optimization package. The car is currently under testing on the streets of the Australian Capital Territory.

Whether or not the S60 Polestar will make the cut and find its way into the police fleet remains to be seen. Volvo’s aren’t exactly cheap in the U.S., assuming they are on par pricing-wise in Australia, I find it surprising the car would meet departmental budget requirements.
