3D Printed Toyota Engine & Transmission Scale Models

It’s not on par with what Local Motors achieved, but mechanical engineer Eric Harrell still pulled off an amazing job with these scale models of the Toyota 22RE engine and W56 transmission. Eric reverse engineered both machines, painstakingly measuring each of their parts before recreating them as 3D models.

After dozens of hours of designing, Eric then had to wait about three days for the engine to be printed and another two days for the transmission. Head to Eric’s Thingiverse page to download the models.
