Mid-Engined ’63 Corvette Hitting the Auction Block

People have been talking about the potential for a mid-engined Corvette for years now, but nothing has come of it from GM. Rumor has it that the engine is finally migrating for the C8 generation, but only time will tell. If you can’t wait that long, you can drop an estimated $90,000 to $100,000 on this custom Corvette that’s going up for auction in Fort Lauderdale this weekend.

It’s a mid-engined, ’63 split window Corvette with a V8 tuned to 1,000 horsepower. Because what the world needed was a 52-year-old, weirdly proportioned RWD car with questionable build quality and the same amount power as a Bugatti Veyron. There’s absolutely no inherent risk to this vehicle. None.
