Get Ready to See DeNiro as Enzo Ferrari

Enzo Ferrari was one of those guys who got shit done. He was a true automotive visionary. That’s why one of Italy’s most common and working-class surnames (Ferrari being the Italian equivalent of “Smith”) is now the best recognized brand in the world. “Ferrari” now means exclusive, expensive, and world class. It’s a company that many Italians see as being representative of the country itself. Enzo built it on a passion for racing, and now that story is going to be told in a new big budget biopic starring Robert DeNiro.

The movie will be called Ferrari, and is reportedly being written by Stephen J. Rivele and Christopher Wilkinson, the guys behind such pics as Ali and Nixon. Some outlets are reporting that Clint Eastwood is interested in directing the film as well. This sounds very interesting to me.
