/Big Muscle gives us a fun history lesson about one of Cadillac’s most unusual experiments. Between 1975 and 1976 the company commissioned 204 Coupe DeVilles to be turned into pickup trucks, not unlike Chevy’s El Camino. The conversions were done by none other than the legendary customizer Gene Winfield and the folks at Traditional Coach Works, where Winfield was working at the time.

The result is the Mirage, a hearse-like hybrid pickup. This particular Mirage has been slightly modified – new wheels, lowered and tinted – into something that Winston Wolfe would drive.
