A Lap of Road America in a 2015 Corvette Stingray

Seems like this week has been all about driving great cars, so I can’t complain about life. I started out the festivities with the Midwest Automotive Media Association’s Spring Rally up at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Among the many fine vehicles I got to drive was this great red 2015 Corvette Stingray.

My pal Mike Markel from Brash was riding shotgun and decided to capture my drive with his shiny new Samsung Galaxy S6. The result is a surprisingly good impromptu video of one of my laps.

Since this wasn’t a pro race event, they threw in a couple of extra cones here and there to slow us down, and made us go around the Kink, but it was still a ton of fun, and in the end I got the Vette up to 127mph on Kettle Bottoms, before having to brake hard to go around Canada Corner. The only car I did the lap faster in was the much more expensive Mercedes AMG GT S.
