Abu Dhabi Police Get Lykan HyperSport Patrol Car

If you have never heard of the Lykan HyperSport, don’t feel bad, it’s a very rare car. In fact, there are only seven of them in the entire world. If you feel l like you might recognize the car, it was the vehicle in Fast & Furious 7 that Dom and Brian drove through the glass between buildings – at least in CGI form.

Despite the car being extremely rare and incredibly expensive at $3.4 million, the Abu Dhabi police have just added one to its fleet of exotic patrol cars. The Lykan packs 770 hp under its swoopy hood, so there’s little chance of scofflaws getting away unless they happen to be driving a McLaren P1 or a Koenigsegg One:1.

I very much hope the addition of this car to the Abu Dhabi fleet of police vehicles signals a competition between it and Dubai for the most awesome patrol cars in the world. Dubai has a Ferrari and a Lamborghini among other patrol cars.
