The ’70s were a dark time for car guys and gals with the majority of cars being produced being ugly and/or terrible performers. If you ask me, the first year of the decade was the last year for anything cool. From 1966 to 1973, Lamborghini made one of the coolest cars ever produced.

That car is the Miura P400S, and its heart is a snorting Italian V12 engine that sounds better than 99% of the cars on the road today. The Miura is one of the cars that you can’t really appreciate until you see it in person.

I saw one at the Dallas Auto Show a few years back in lime green and it was stunning. The car is a combination of curves that is one of the best shapes to ever come out of Italy. Check out this Petrolicious video to see a 1970 Miura P400S, and hear it in all its glory.
