Jeep Wrangler Truck in the Works?

Way back in the day, Jeep made a couple of different trucks that you don’t see many of today, like the Gladiator and the Comanche. Both of those trucks were discontinued long ago, but word is that Jeep may be bringing a new truck to market.

I am very much hoping it looks something like the Brute you see here, which is a custom truck based on the Wrangler made by American Expedition Vehicles. 10 years ago, Jeep showed off a new Gladiator concept at the Chicago Auto Show, so it could also look something like that.

Word of the Jeep truck comes as FCA moves production of the Cherokee from its Toledo, Ohio plant. Sources claim that with the Ohio plant losing the Cherokee, workers will keep busy making the new truck model, to supplement the Wrangler which it already produces. It’s unclear for now when exactly the new truck will land. The next generation Wrangler is due in 2018, so the truck could arrive around the same time.
