Oktoberfest BMW M3 Ist So Viel Deutsch (So Much German)

My favorite German car brand is Porsche, but coming in a close second is BMW. I like the M3 and M4 a lot. They are fun to drive, and very fast, if a bit too expensive for my budget.

One of the big German traditions is Oktoberfest involving lots of German foods and lots and lots of beer. To celebrate Oktoberfest, BMW commissioned a one of a kind M3 in “Münchner Wirte” Livery. I think you have to be German to understand what most of the art on the car means. Like, what’s the deal with all the ladybugs and the ropes?

Had it been festooned with sausages and beer, I’d totally get it. It’s a weird livery, but it is packed with all the German you can get your hands on. BMW used a similar livery on one of its M1 Procar racers about three decades ago, so there is a bit of history here.
