Audi A5 DTM Celebrates Racing History with a Diesel V6

Audi has announced a slick new special edition of the A5. The car will be made in very limited numbers. Just 50 of the A5 DTM cars will be built. Each of the cars will be powered by a 3.0L TDI engine that makes a modest 245 hp and a massive 428 lb-ft. of torque.

All that torque goes to all four wheels thanks to the Quattro AWD system via a 7-speed wet clutch S-tronic. The DTM package comes in Misano red and has racing graphics on the outside. When you open the door, DTM puddle lights shine on the ground. Inside, the car gets RS seats with the same red hue on the seat backs and trim as you get on the outside of the car, as well as stainless steel pedals. The steering wheel is wrapped in Alcantara, and has a flat bottom for a racy look.

The car will reach 62mph in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed limited to 155 mph. Pricing is unannounced at this time, and unfortunately, it’s strictly bound for Europe.
