Rapper Says Thank You with a Ferrari

When I was an editor at Playboy (yeah, I said it), I had the chance to meet Diddy, and I worked on a project with rapper The Game. Both were really cool and chill, and I have fond memories of the experiences. Now I’m thinking I should have tried to form longer-lasting bonds with them.

It seems that after getting paid $250 large for a gig in Dubai (nice work if you can get it), The Game decided to use the scratch to buy Diddy a Prancing Horse. Why? Because back in the day when The Game was getting started, he chose to work with Dr. Dre, not Diddy, and because Diddy didn’t pitch a fit, The Game was forever grateful, and the red Ferrari was just a token of his “rappreciation” (note to self, trademark that term). Diddy even gives The Game a shout out of thanks for the wheels on the “rappropriately” (note to self, trademark that term too) titled track, “Standing on Ferraris,” which they recorded together.

And while that’s all sweet, you got to watch this video when a reporter catches The Game in a kicks store and he says the real reason behind the purchase. Hint – it’s all about the day of the week.
