MyFord Touch Update Adds Siri Eyes-Free

Prior to the its latest cars getting SYNC 3, Ford offered cars with MyFord Touch (aka SYNC 2). If you have a car equipped with that system, ranging from 2011 to 2016 models, a new update is available for you. You’ll definitely want to install this one if you use an iPhone, because it brings Siri Eyes-Free support to the car – a feature you probably thought you couldn’t have unless you had SYNC 3.

The update is free and you don’t even have to go to the dealership to get it. All you need to do to upgrade is download the update here, put it on a flash drive and then install that flash drive into your car’s USB port.

Once the update is applied you will be able to use Siri to do all sorts of things while driving including make phone calls to your address book, look up phone numbers, set reminder alarms, check the weather, and play music. You will also be able to send and receive texts using voice and get directions from Apple Maps.
