If you are a fan of the old Top Gear series, you know The Stig. Dressed in white with a blacked-out helmet, his true identity was supposed to be a secret, but we now know that Ben Collins was one of the pro drivers that portrayed the enigmatic character. In this video from Ford, Collins shows us what the different drive modes for the new 2016 Focus RS are about.

The mode switch can dynamically tune dampers, steering, AWD system, engine, traction control, and exhaust. Sport mode lets drivers have fun, but not get into too much trouble, tightening up the steering, and letting the exhaust sing. Things get more interesting when you put the car into track mode. In track mode, the car is set for optimal handling and performance on a race track, with fewer nannies to interfere with your steering. But the most fun mode may be drift mode. This mode makes sliding and smoking the tires a snap by lightening the steering, softening the dampers, and adjusting how traction is applied to the wheels.
