360 Degree Fun with a Virtual AMG S65 Coupe

As video games get more true-to-life, and technology allows more manipulation of media, game-makers have gotten more creative with ways to promote their wares. Case in point, this 360-degree promo video for the game Driveclub, which puts viewers inside the cockpit of a Mercedes AMG S65 coupe as it races through epic landscapes around the globe.

While the Playstation-only road racing game received mostly lukewarm reviews on the way to selling a couple million copies, several reviewers praised the game for its detailed, dramatic environments. As the S65 races from one gorgeous locale to the next, a simple swipe or mouse-click allows viewers to take in the background in all directions. As breath-taking scenery from around the globe flashes past, other Mercedes stalwarts make cameos on the roadway, including the old C63 AMG Coupe Black Series and the lovely SLS. And unlike someone playing the game, you can lose yourself to the distractions all around, because after all, you don’t have to worry about keeping the car on the road.
