Porsche has debuted a brief clip introducing the new 718 Boxster and 718 Boxster S, named after the classic 718 mid-engine racer that won its class several times at Le Mans and took first overall at the European Hill Climb Championship in 1958 and 1959. Both versions sport a newly minted, horizontally opposed four-cylinder turbo engine with PDK and launch control. The 300-horsepower Boxster boasts a 0-62 sprint of 4.7 seconds, while its burlier brother the Boxster S, with 350 horses, knocks 0.5 seconds off that time.

The clip touts the new Boxster’s sport-tuned chassis, high agility, cornering dynamics, high torque, low fuel consumption, and walks through features such as four driving modes, LED headlights and taillights. optional sports exhaust system and sports suspension, and technology modules. Enjoy the video below as duelling roadsters in gunmetal gray and red roar through sinuous mountain roads.
