2017 Hyundai Elantra Eco Gets Impressive Fuel Economy and Price

Hyundai is really putting some pressure on other automakers with the new Elantra Eco. The Eco is the most fuel efficient Elantra ever, rated at an impressive 40 mpg on the highway and 32 mpg in the city. That efficiency comes thanks to a 1.4-liter GDI turbo 4 that makes 128 hp and 156 lb-ft. of torque. That turbo four is mated to a 7-speed EcoShift dual clutch transmission with Shiftronic tech.

The car also packs in an impressive level of standard equipment at a starting price of $20,650(USD). Standard features include heated front seats, LED daytime running lights, blind spot detection with rear cross traffic alert, lane change assist, proximity key, push button start, power windows, and lots more.

Anyone looking for a new car on a budget with some very nice safety features thrown in the mix will want to check this car out. With its combined fuel economy estimate of 35 mpg Hyundai figures annual fuel costs for the car will be only $900.
