A company called Atieva is currently hard at work producing an electric delivery van called the Edna. While it’s not designed for racing, of course, the cool part about electric vehicles as we already know is that you get all the torque right at the start.

To show off this instant torque, Edna decided to put its electric van in a 1/4-mile drag race with a BMW i8 and a Dodge Viper to see who would come out victorious.

Incredibly, the van can run the quarter mile in 11.3 seconds @ 117 mph, and can reach 60 mph from a standstill in 2.94 seconds. The Edna delivery van will certainly get goods to their destination quickly, thought I hope the driver isn’t carrying anything fragile in the back of the van.
