F-150 Raptor Specs Gets Official, Really Has 510 lb-ft. of Torque!

Ford has gone official with the specifications for the 2017 F-150 Raptor, and the truck is going to be a serious beast. It turns out that leak we saw a couple of weeks back was completely accurate. The new Raptor will have 450hp and 510 lb-ft of torque underfoot. That comes for the second-gen 3.5L EcoBoost engine.

Not only will the new Raptor have more power and torque than before, it also gets 23% better fuel economy than the outgoing version. The engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the aluminum build also means a 500-pound weight reduction.

Less weight and more power should mean some significant improvement in performance. The truck also gets a torque-on-demand transfer case and six-mode terrain management system. Pricing is unannounced at this time.
