Awesome Chevy Colorado ZR2 is a Tiny Raptor Fighter

Chevrolet has rolled out a new truck for people who like the idea of something rugged and fast, but want it for less money and in a smaller size than a Raptor. Enter the Colorado ZR2, which will pack numerous upgrades for serious off-roading.

Compared to the standard Colorado, the ZR2 has a wider track and suspension that’s been lifted by two inches.  The front and rear bumpers were modified to increase off-road clearance, and steel rocker protectors improve performance over rocks and other obstacles. Multimatic DSSV dampers make it well suited to a wide variety of terrain, both on- and off-road.

Chevy fits the truck with both front and rear locking differentials, and combined with the baby diesel engine, it’ll have plenty of torque for rock crawling.  The truck rides on 17×8 aluminum wheels wrapped in 31-inch Goodyear Duratrac off-road tires. Chevy will offer a bed mounted spare tire carrier as an option. Pricing and availability are unknown at this time.
