General Lee Stunt Jump Kills a Charger and We Are Sort of Bummed

Growing up, I absolutely loved The Dukes of Hazzard. I liked to ride my three-wheeler on two wheels just to be more like Bo and Luke. At the time I didn’t think that the Charger the guys drove was a particularly cool car aside from the fact that they drove it.

Today, the cars are rare and it hurts me inside a bit to see one get crushed in a stunt. Still, this Dukes of Hazzard jump that recently took place in Detroit is very cool. Cool right up to the landing that killed the car and had to hurt like hell.

You can watch the stunt in the video above. Somehow, I don’t think that landing is what stunt driver Raymond Kohn had in mind. The second video is Kohn talking about the jump, and he looks a little dazed to me.
