Ford Expedition Gets Live TV Streaming via SlingPlayer

When my kids were small we went on a few long road trips. The first half an hour was always easy, then the kids got grumpy and I wanted to jump out of the moving car and end it all. Ford has some new entertainment options that should help prevent parents from jumping out of a moving vehicle or strangling their children.

The 2018 Expedition has an available dual 8″ headrest entertainment system that supports live TV streaming via SlingPlayer. That allows the TV system in the vehicle to stream satellite or cable TV programming from home. The system also supports Miracast, so you can stream content from many Android-based smartphones. These wireless content sources are in addition to HDMI, USB, SD card, and DVD player inputs.

The Expedition will also have an optional hotspot with support for ten devices and a 50-foot range. That means you can even use your Wi-Fi if you step outside the car to have a picnic lunch.
