2014 Chevy Camaro Z/28 Flies on the Nürburgring

With a light drizzle falling on the famed 12.9 mile Nürburgring track, the 505 horsepower V8 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 clocks in with an impressive lap time of 7:37.47. That time bests the published times for the Porsche 911, the Lexus LFA, and the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640.

Prior to running this lap, the Z/28 had completed more than 1,000 miles on the track. The current production car record for the Nürburgring is held by the Porsche 918 Spyder, with a time of 6:57. Of course, the Porsche has a 887 horsepower engine and a price of $845,000.
