2014 Lotus Elise S Cup R

Lotus doesn’t send its road cars to the U.S. any longer, since its cars don’t meet all the strict safety regulations needed to drive on American roads. But that isn’t stoping Lotus from selling the Lotus Elise S Cup R to U.S. residents who want to drive it on the track.
The Cup R variant has a 1.8 liter four-cylinder with a Magnuson R900 supercharger and a six-speed manual transmission. Performance is amped up through an ECM tune and an aero kit including a front splitter, side skirts, winglets, rear diffuser and rear wing all designed to provide maximum downforce. The vehicle is targeted for track driving with upgraded brake pads, a polycarbonate rear window, snap-off steering wheel, six-point seatbelt, and a full roll cage.
