Unlim 500+: Destination Greece

Dragtimes Russia takes us to the airport runway in Tympaki, Greece to experience the first ever European edition of the Unlim 500+ drag race, which requires that all vehicles involved have at least a 500 horsepower engine – with no top-end power limit.
In fact, one driver has a Saleen that’s been modded with a 10-liter, twin-turbo engine that can push nearly 2000 horses to an AWD drivetrain. What impresses us most about this is the fact that the car doesn’t just destroy itself from the sheer torque. The 1200hp Porsche 911 and 1400hp Nissan GT-R are nothing to sneeze at either. In fact, this particular GT-R holds the world record for one mile – with a time of just over 22 seconds at an insane speed of 239.23mph.
Full results from the event are listed here. Stick around long enough, and you might just see a 1700hp Lamborghini Gallardo Nera catch itself on fire.
