Google Maps the Top Gear Test Track, Slowly

We recently featured a virtual tour of the secret Top Gear test track done via a 360-degree camera and The Stig in a Mercedes SLS AMG Black. Well, it turns out Google turned up at the track with a “Street View” car and mapped the track while Stig stayed in his AMG. As these things happen, it became the 630hp Mercedes against Google’s Opel Astra in a race. Naturally, The Stig won.

As a result of Google’s visit, you now can travel directly to the Top Gear test track through the magic of Google Street View.
