The 2014 BMW M3 and M4 Hit the Track
bmw | January 28, 2014
Having ditched the M3’s powerful and great-sounding V8 for a more powerful turbocharged 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder that produces a total of 420 horsepower, BMW took the new 2014 M3 and its two-door sister, the 2014 M4, onto the track in this video.
Not surprisingly, the cars seem to perform admirably, with some great drifts through the corners. The 6-cylinder engine is very quick off the line and the new M3 and M4 will likely be very fast through the turns with the help of the reduced weight at the front. It’ll be interesting to see what drivers will say about the loss of the V8 sound and whether we see any turbo lag.
