2014 Felino cB7
In the works for the last four years, Montreal, Canada’s Felino is now showing off their new high performance sports car. The two-seater is designed to be primarily a track day car, but it’s possible it will be street legal as well.
The rear wheel-drive car has a dramatically curved body made of composite carbon fiber, and that lightweight material carries forward to the interior as well, with seats and dashboard made from carbon fiber as well. When viewed from the front, the Felino has some of the more aggressive, if downright angry looks we’ve seen. From the side and rear, its exaggerated high roof curve take a bit more getting used to.
Riding on 18-inch aluminum wheels, the cB7 is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine (of unspecified manufacture), which pushes out 525 horsepower, and 489 lb-ft. of torque at 4400 RPM. Shifting is achieved through a 6-speed manual gearbox. It has an independent, double-wishbone suspension, and 355mm disc brakes – with the option to upgrade to carbon ceramic brakes.
There’s no word at this point when the Felino cB7 will go into production, but they plan on performing track testing of pre-production vehicles this summer, and hope to eventually release the vehicle for less than $100,000.
