Go Off-Roading Underneath a Toyota Land Cruiser

by Paul Strauss

We’ve seen plenty of videos shot from the perspective of inside, on the hood or even on the spinning wheel of a vehicle. But we haven’t seen too much footage that’s captured from underneath a car or truck. This footage by YouTuber misbhavn captures a 76 Series Toyota Land Cruiser as it heads off-road, driving through muddy dirt roads, and even splashing through a river.¬†Fortunately, the camera used to capture the footage was waterproof and lived to see another day.

It’s interesting to see just how much the tire deforms as the truck makes its way across the terrain – and to watch the tire get momentarily clean each time it hits the water. The only thing that’s a little weird with the video is the fact that it looks like YouTube’s stabilization tech has been enabled, so you don’t quite get the bouncing effect that you’d really feel if you were strapped to the bottom of an old Land Cruiser.
