Ok, you can’t get there that fast, except in a time-lapse video, which is exactly what we have here. Artist Maurizio Sera took a road trip from Hollywood, California to Washington, D.C. and snapped an image every two seconds for the duration of the drive.

All told, he snapped 63,000 photos on his GoPro Hero3 camera over the course of his four day, 44 hour drive across the country. The end result is a mesmerizing six-minute short film that inspires us to head out and take a long road trip ourselves. Just as soon as the weather gets better, that is. Also, we would want to head through some more scenic locales than Maurizio did – perhaps through the Dakotas, Montana and Wyoming.

As is the case with most POV videos, it’s best watched in full screen 1080p HD, with headphones on.
