Porsche Macan Turbo Hits the Track

Porsche is doing everything they can to make its new Macan compact SUV sportier than any other SUV on the road. Autocar’s Steve Sutcliffe managed to get behind the wheel of an early Macan Turbo, and was genuinely impressed with the handling and drive of the little utility vehicle, which clearly owes more to the Cayman than it does to the Audi Q5, that shares the same platform as the Macan.

We’re impressed that with the proper settings engaged, he’s able to get it to oversteer and drift like an actual sports car. Though we’re a little disappointed that the engine and exhaust is a little quiet for our tastes.

We love how he gets in trouble with the Porsche dude for drifting the car. We’ve been there too, Steve.
