eBay Find: Rare Custom-Built 2002 Panoz Esperante

The Panoz Esperente was a hand-made two-door convertible built in America by the Georgia-based manufacturer. The Esperente was created with a custom aluminum and carbon fiber body and a Ford Cobra SVT V8 engine. Many of the car’s components are Ford performance parts, from the door switches to the air conditioning system. And every Esperente is given a name from the factory; this one is “Sydney” and named after the daughter of one of the company’s VPs.

This particular Panoz Esperente is unique in that it was customized for and shown at the 2002 San Francisco International Auto Show with a long list of modifications, including a hand-painted body finish, aluminum-trimmed door handles, hand-stitched leather seats, and a leather-upholstered center cluster. The car has just 7,940 miles on the odometer and is located in Delaware. It still looks beautiful and could be a great find if you’re looking for a fun and unique open-top roadster.
