Scale V8 Engines Work Just Like the Big Boys

While car companies are moving away from V8 engines to cut down on size, weight and fuel consumption, this one builder proves that a V8 could be made smaller. While it’s not being used in an actual car, this scale model of a Chevy small block V8 works just like its bigger brothers – except for the part where it has to be started with a power drill.

It’s truly an impressive build, but when we started looking around at related videos on YouTube, we came across a number of even more incredible scale engines, like the ones shown below:

And not to be outdone, here’s a miniature V12:

Now if only car makers would start putting these things in their hot hatches…
