XCAR Reviews the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe

We’re already big fans of the Jaguar F-Type Roadster around here, and can’t wait until we can get our grubby little mitts on the coupe version when it’s released later this year. In the mean time, we’ll have to live vicariously through other reviewers who’ve already managed to score some time behind the wheel. Our friends over at XCAR recently got some quality time with the sexy and powerful 550 horsepower F-Type R coupe.

While the F-Type is already an impressive vehicle, the coupe is even more amazing for those who prefer a pure sports coupe configuration. In addition to the 55 extra horses over and above the convertible, the coupe has a significantly stiffer chassis, along with the F-Type’s brilliant balance of luxury, power and design.

As we’ve learned from driving the F-Type, dropping into performance mode and paddle shifting above 3000 RPMs will give you a most enjoyable ride, with power, exceptional handling, and all those wonderful snaps, crackles and pops.
