Project CARS: Sound Makes Everything

Look out Gran Turismo and Forza. There’s a new kid in town. The upcoming game Project CARS has set its sights on being the most realistic and comprehensive racing simulator ever created.

Developed by Slightly Mad Studios – the team behind the Need for Speed: SHIFT series, the crowdfunded game aims to take players through a full driving online career, from karting all the way through Le Mans racing, and every point in between. Cars and tracks are modeled and rendered with impeccable detail, and weather and time of day is realistically simulated. But with all of the eye candy on display, one thing that is rarely explored in game trailers is how the game sounds.

In this 12-minute-long trailer for Project CARS, we get to hear some of the incredibly realistic vehicle sounds the development team captured for the game. Keep in mind that EVERYTHING you see on screen and hear is in-game footage and audio. Trust us, you’ll want to crank your speakers or headphones up for this.

Project CARS is currently slated for release on Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, PC and Steam OS in November 2014.
