$3.4m Lykan Hypersport Revs its Engine

W Motors‘ Lykan Hypersport is one of those rare “hypercars” that is so limited in production that only seven are being made. The car has a 740 horsepower twin-turbo 3.7-liter flat-six engine, and can go from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in just 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 239mph. In this clip captured by Marchettino in Monaco, we get an up-close look at one Lykan, and get to hear it rev its engine. Surprisingly, it’s not the most robust of exhaust notes, and at idle it sounds a little rough, but its still faster than any car we’ve ever owned. And what’s the deal with the cheesy dryer vent hose under the hood?

While its Batmobile-like design might be a little over the top for our tastes, we wouldn’t complain if someone offered to give us a ride in this $3.4 million car. Plus, we’re just happy to see that it has actually been produced. So many of these kind of vehicles never make it past the prototype or concept stage.
